When it comes to achieving the smile of your dreams, there is more than one way to do it. That is why we offer Austin Invisalign, traditional braces, lingual braces, and more. Read below to learn more about the various paths you can take to a straighter, healthier smile.
One of the first ways to straighten teeth, traditional braces are still the most widely used appliance when it comes to correcting tooth alignment. These braces are not the same as they once were. Technology has allowed them to become smaller, more comfortable, and more attractive. These braces are strong and effective, making them excellent for cases that are more difficult.
Clear braces utilize clear brackets that reduce the visibility of the appliance. Made from plastic alloys, they function the same way traditional braces do. However, since they do not use metal brackets, they are not quite as strong. Still, they work well in most cases and are a great choice for patients worried about how their braces will look.
Ceramic braces are also clear braces, but they are more delicate than their plastic counterparts are. Due to their delicate nature, we do not use these on all patients. Ceramic braces are good for more mature patients who do not play contact sports or engage in activity that could otherwise damage their braces.
Invisalign isn’t really braces. Rather, it is a braces alternative for patients in Austin. Invisalign uses clear, plastic aligners that are invisible, removable, and comfortable. Since they are invisible, you can be discreet about treatment. Their removability means you do not need to relearn how to brush and floss, nor do you need to change your diet. And since they are comfortable, you will often forget you are wearing the aligners. Our Pflugerville Invisalign patients love the system, and you will, too.

Lingual braces are braces that are placed on the tongue side of the teeth. These braces must be custom-made to fit your dental anatomy in order to be effective, which does make them more expensive than other braces. We use the HARMONY System of lingual braces as we feel they offer the highest quality for our patients. These are great for our hopeful Manor Invisalign patients who need stronger pressure than Invisalign can exert.
